THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR A GREAT EVENT!
Posted by Michael Price | Filed under News
Wow. I am whipped. I have so much to say and so many people to thank but I need to decompress and gather my thoughts on everything. We will posting some follow ups, photos, video and more. More importantly, I plan to share all I have learned from SF REbarcamp and Houston REBarcamp. As Brad Coy put it so well a couple of days ago, “Who Has Next?” Check out the comments using the hash tag #rebch on twitter, and look up the Active Rain folks that are talking, Brad, Rich you name it, there is so much to share.
THANKS TO EVERYONE! More Soon.

Paul is Internet marketing director for Web content management software company, Bizzuka.com. In this role, Paul is charged with incorporating new media marketing strategies and techniques into the marketing mix.

Venue Is Set For Real Estate Barcamp Houston
Posted by Michael Price | Filed under News
After a long search, we secured the location for REBarcamp Houston yesterday. It’s not exactly in Houston proper, however, most locations inside the loop were either too expensive or limiting in some way. We will be meeting at the Shenandoah Convention & Meeting Facility adjacent to The Woodlands Texas. The facility is perfect our needs, its almost 4,000 SF and features wireless internet, projectors an awesome reception area and more. Since the completion of the Waterway and Market Street, The Woodlands area has become a “go to” destination for corporate gatherings and conferences. There are plenty of great hotels and no shortage of things to do, places to dine, shop and more. If you’re coming in from out of town, you’ll enjoy your stay. If you’re an agent or broker in the Houston metroplex, it’s a quick drive up I-45. We can handle 200 people, so if you have not RSVP’d, do so soon to assure yourself a seat. We’re planning to serve a boxed lunch and provide a limited edition t-shirt* to as many folks as possible, those that RSVP will have first access.
We’re really excited to have access to such a great facility.

We’re Moving Forward With Real Estate Barcamp Houston
Posted by Michael Price | Filed under News
We’ve decided to push forward with REBarcamp Houston. That means we’re going to need some extra help getting the word out and get more sponsors. I am going to look at a facility near The Woodlands tomorrow that will be perfect for our needs.
If you’re attending please RSVP so we can start getting a head count. If you know of an individual or company who can sponsor, please have them contact me. Sponsorship is only $250.
Rich Jacobson with Active Rain is stepping up in a big way, he is even coming in a day early to help us get set up. Lani has offered to take a more active role as well. More details will be forthcoming. We will be establishing the sponsorship payment page in the next couple of days.
